Roger Delay Award

As this
year comes to a close I wish to send my congratulations to John Fiske, our
Roger Delay award winner. He has
ridden the most scheduled rides this year with a total of 33 rides. Upon winning this award he receives a
free yearÕs membership and his name on the Roger Delay plaque. He also keeps the plaque for a year to
hang on his wall.
IÕll give
you the highest riders starting with Barry & Linda Cowall at 30, Larry
& Faith Mack with 29, Denny Reid with 27, Bob Smith with 26, Roger Miller
& Mary Fiske matched at 25, George Carter came in at 24, Sandy Reid was
next at 23, Connie McRae had 22, beating Johnny Mc Rae with 21, which matched
Susan Miller and Gwen Carter at 21, and Jackie Hancock came in at 20.
There have been a lot of great rides and events this year all total 61 scheduled. ThatÕs a lot of rides! Some of the annual events like the Iron Butt, Eufaula Fish Fry, Progressive Dinner, The Midnight ride to Albany, Toys for Tots, etc. Then there were the new rides like Stone Mountain Light Show, Watermelon Festival in Cordele, Savannah, and The Fall Line Festival in Talbotton, Mossey Creek Festival, and Christmas Lane and Christmas Village in Thomaston.
Yeah, there
have been a lot of the annuals mixed in with the new. This has been a safe and exciting year. WeÕve put a lot of miles on with a lot
of great company, lets all make this an even better year and get out and
ride! If you any suggestions,
bring Ōem on! ItÕs always a
pleasure riding with the V.M.T.A.
