VMTA BUSINESS MEETING MINUTES FOR
JANUARY 9, 2012
Meeting called to order by President
John Fiske with 27 members and 2 guest in attendance. The guests are
Ashley Beaver and Paul’s Dad.
Member birthday and anniversaries were
recognized and are on our web site in the newsletter.
Secretary report from November. 2011,
which was sent by e-mail, was approved with no changes. Motion to
except by Mary Fiske and Barry Cowall.
Treasure report from Susan Miller
combines November 2011 and December 2011. Starting balance of $1059.21, Income 50/50
17.00. Christmas party 360.00, plaque overpayment 12.00. Expenses copies 1.71, plaque
49.00, LaDonia Fire House 50.00, Aramark 600.55, Decoration for
Christmas party 48.08. ENDING BALANCE OF 689.42. Motion to except by
John Delay and Linda Cowall.
Susan Miller (Treasure) reported that
$185.00 of the 2011 budget was earmarked for charity and that we
have not disbursed that amount yet, she made a motion that we
distribute $100.00 to relay for Life, $50.00 to the Humane Society,
and $35.00 to Wounded Warriors. The motion was second by John Delay,
after a brief discussion the motion was passed.
It was discussed that the carryover
balance for the club has always been approx. $300.00; since the club
is incorporated we can have more in the carryover up to approx.
$4000.00.
It was decided to carry the balance
over approx $500.00 to 2012 to help with cost of
advertising.
Old Business, Club recognized Linda
and Teresa for their hard work on the Christmas Party.
Steve Tennant made motion that the
club go ahead and reserve LaDonia Fire Dept for next year Christmas
party and the Christmas party will be on December 8,2012 Saturday.
The motion was passed.
John Fiske reported the web site
annual fee is $68.50 with $7.49 Domain fee total of $75.99. Linda
Cowall and Cal Herring motion to pay John Fiske back for the web
site. The motion was passed.
New Ride Chairman John Delay discussed
previous rides with mention of good support from the
club.
Upcoming rides and events
Progressive Dinner end of April, Crock
pot dinner at Roger and Susan will be advised, @ day ride to Little
River Canyon.
